Description

This public service organization aimed to create a unique educational web application to be used as an interactive teaching tool by students at universities worldwide. After many failures and a substantial monetary investment over several years, the client grew frustrated with the multiple software developers they hired prior to Adaptium.

Adaptium was referred through a previous client who also personally knew the founder of the organization. After several discussions and a personal visit from the founder to our office in San Diego, Adaptium was entrusted to rebuild the entire web application. Adaptium was also selected to provide, manage, and secure the servers and business infrastructure on which this web application and its worldwide users depend.

Results

Adaptium led business and software architectural discussions with the client aimed at capturing the exact intent, functionality, and multi-user interfaces that this web application would require. This was a key factor that all previous software developers were unable to successfully accomplish. By analyzing the software needs from the beginning, and not just accepting previous software programming as accurate, we were able to correctly identify where so many had taken a wrong approach.

Meeting quick deadlines, Adaptium was successful in delivering the first beta version of this web application, marking this important milestone as the first time the client had ever seen a live version. To date, Adaptium continues to develop and improve this online system and its necessary data center business infrastructure.

Students and faculty have enjoyed great success from universities such as University of Notre Dame, University of California Berkeley, Hawaii Pacific University, University of British Columbia, University of Michigan, Syracuse University, University of Georgia, University of Illinois, George Mason University, University of Montana, University of Wisconsin, University of Saskatchewan, Florida State University, and more than 20 others. Through many brainstorming sessions we helped build the first online educational system of its kind, as well as the strong foundation that our relationship enjoys to this day.
